Trueline was born out of a love for the outdoors, a willingness to think differently and a relentless pursuit of quality using Australian made materials. More than 52 years later with over 76,000 outdoor living projects completed these same values still hold true and although ownership of the company has changed it still remains in the same founding family.
Wayne Hammond founded Trueline in 1970. From its early beginnings, the Brisbane founded business created a culture of innovation spearheading many new industry developments as it constantly pushed conventional boundaries in its quest to bring inspiration to the way people live outdoors. The early years were marked by an ever-changing concept in outdoor living as the company set out to transform the design of patios combining architectural engineering with handcrafted excellence. A search for new material forms led Trueline to insulated panel construction bringing a new order of comfort and outdoor liveability at the highest possible standard of quality propelling Trueline into a position of its own.
Having revolutionised the outdoor living industry, Trueline continues to set the standard for quality, craftsmanship, innovation and design.

The founding business owners formed a relationship over many years as major distributors for home improvement products produced by Hunter Douglas, another iconic Australian business with brands such as Luxaflex and ShadeMaster.
Over the years Trueline and All Weather Shelters continued to develop innovative designs with a focus on high quality Australian made materials. All Weather Shelters Melbourne secured a well earned reputation, with rave reviews and quality products.
In 2016, Shane Hammond, owner of Trueline Patios since 2009 (and nephew of founder Wayne Hammond) was approached by the owner of All Weather Shelters to ascertain if Trueline might be interested in buying the Melbourne based company to enable retirement plans for the long term owner.
Within a few months it was clear to Mr Hammond that an opportunity existed to expand the Trueline group by acquiring a quality home improvement business, All Weather Shelters. Trueline officially took the reigns on July 1, 2018, and began the process of consolidating the two businesses.
Three and a half years on and the timing is right for the name change of All Weather Shelters to Trueline as an exciting new chapter emerges for All Weather Shelters Melbourne based business to be fully embedded in the Trueline Group.
